In 2012, the ExpertBail Team attended the American Judges’ Association National Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.  During the conference, over 100 judges were surveyed about their feelings towards the commercial bail industry and public sector pretrial release programs.  Click here for the results of the full bail bond industry survey.

One of the most telling results of the survey was around confidence that judges had in each form of release when it came to defendants showing up for court.  The survey showed that 96% of judges had a high level of confidence in defendants showing up for court when they were released through a commercial bail bond.  On the flip side, 30% of judges had “NO CONFIDENCE” that a defendant would show up for court when they were released through a public sector pretrial services agency.
