The American Bail Coalition Expands its Executive Team
Long time industry veteran and advocate, Dennis Bartlett has been named Executive Director, Emeritus, and Nicholas Wachinski has been appointed as the coalition’s new Executive Director.
Washington DC – October 2, 2013 – The American Bail Coalition (ABC) Board of Governors is pleased to announce two exciting changes to its leadership team: the naming of Dennis Bartlett to the newly created position of Executive Director, Emeritus, and the appointment of Nicholas Wachinski to the position of Executive Director.
The Board would like to thank Mr. Bartlett for providing his many years of leadership, guidance and unwavering support to the bail industry and criminal justice system. Over the years, Mr. Bartlett has led ABC in a great many legislative and regulatory projects and will continue to provide his expertise and insights in the coming years as the coalition continues to pursue its mission of addressing ongoing criminal justice issues surrounding the detention or release of criminal defendants awaiting trial. Mr. Bartlett will remain an active staff member of the American Bail Coalition working closely with its members and partners. Additionally, Mr. Bartlett will serve as a trusted advisor and resource to the new Executive Director, Nicholas Wachinski. “I am honored to have had the opportunity over the past several years to work with such a professional and committed group of industry executives,” states Bartlett. “I think Nick is an extremely talented attorney and a rising star in our industry and I look forward to working closely with him during this transitional period. I also look forward to continuing to play a role in this important and essential organization.”
Mr. Wachinski, brings to ABC over twelve years of experience in legislative affairs , with the past four years of experience in specifically representing the interests of the commercial bail industry. Most recently, Mr. Wachinski served as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer of Bail USA, Inc. and speciially assigned counsel to Seneca Insurance Company. Over the past year, as a member of the coalition, Mr. Wachinski has played an important leadership role in multiple legislative and regulatory projects around the country, most notably West Virginia, Colorado, New York and Delaware.
The Board is extremely excited at this valuable new addition to the ABC Leadership team and looks forward to the new energy, experience and change that Nick will bring to the coalition.
