Listen, parenting is hard work…don’t let anyone ever tell you different.  There are tough decisions that have to be made around every corner.  What do you feed them?  Should they play video games? Should I buy them an iPhone? And so on and so on and so on.  While it is tough, there are still some no brainer decisions that are easy to make…at least I thought so until I read this latest story out of Florida and thought that it would be perfect for today’s bail bond blog post.

This past week a young mom in Longwood, Florida was ending her day with a glass of Whiskey.  Her 7 year old was sitting nearby and asked mom if he could have a sip.  Thinking nothing of it (key word here of course is “thinking nothing”) the mother said sure and gave the boy a sip.  Even better the mother thought it would be a great idea to document the milestone event with a photograph.  Even better, the mother decided to share the photo of the milestone event with the world on Facebook.  As you can imagine, this is where the not so good idea, turns bad, because despite what people think about social media sites, they are really bad places to share photos of illegal things…and just for the record, letting a 7 year old drink whiskey (no matter how cute it might be) is illegal.  It only took a few weeks before the photograph surfaced with local law enforcement.  The woman was arrested and charged with child neglect.  What do you think?  Mom just having fun…or mom deserves a punishment?  Read the original story below and watch the news report.
