One of the best feelings one can get after working hard is recognition from your employer.  This usually comes in the form of a promotion or a pay increase.  One reporter in Denver, Colorado got a new position at work and to say it is a strange one would be an understatement.  That is the topic of today’s bail bond blog post.

Imagine if you were a reporter who had worked long and hard to write that one big story that puts you over the top and gets you national if not global recognition. It would be a dream come true for most of us.  Well a reporter in Colorado got that recognition earlier this week when he was promoted to a new position at the Denver Post…that position…Marijuana Editor.  Yes, we said Marijuana Editor.  As you may or may not know, Colorado recently legalized the recreational use of marijuana.  It is such a big deal now that newspapers are hiring staff, creating new websites and dedicating columns to cover the topic.  Can you imagine it now? You call your mom to let her know that you are now the Chief Stoner in Charge for Colorado’s largest newspaper.  Would she be proud?  Would you be proud?  There is no question that society’s stance on things like marijuana use are becoming more lenient day by day, but how far should it go before some might consider it too far?  What do you think? Is a story on marijuana use newsworthy to you or is it just someone blowing smoke?  Read the original story below.
