If you have ever been to Florida then you have probably seen an Alligator. For visitors, it is usually a big deal to see an alligator up close and personal. For a Floridian, it is probably no different than seeing a stray dog running around. Wherever you are from, you probably want to follow the same rule when it comes to Alligator confrontations…that is, just stay away.
In today’s bail bond blog post, one man from Connecticut, got a little too close to an Alligator and paid the ultimate price. No, he didn’t get bit, but rather, he got caught. This man had just stolen a Honda Civic and was spotted by police. As he accelerated off and tried to escape them, he hit an Alligator and swerved off into the median and crashed. The police took the man into custody and he is currently being held in the St. Lucie county jail in lieu of a $37,500 bail bond. As far as the Alligator? No one really knows. Police did not find the Alligator after the accident. Hmmm? Could it be just bad luck or was this man the vicitim of a vigilante gator. I guess we will never know.
