Let this be a lesson for all of those who try to get away with stealing soda from McDonald’s. If you get caught, you’re going to pay!
Cody Morris, 18, was arrested for filling his water cup with soda recently at a McDonald’s. When a manager confronted him, he refused to return the soda and things quickly escalated from there!
The manager attempted to stop the suspect from leaving and followed him out to his car, where the suspect hit him with the car before trying to flee. Yikes!
Police were finally called for a robbery. The suspect wasn’t exactly trying to hide what he was doing, either!
He went through the drive-thru, asked for a large water, then parked his car. He proceeded to go into McDonald’s, where he dumped the water and filled the cup with soda instead. Not so slick!
As the car reversed, it hit the manager who was trying to stop him from leaving. The manager even tried to get the keys out of the ignition and was hit on the hand by the car again! This seems a bit extreme to get a soda back!
The cops found him at a local bowling alley, where he was promptly arrested. He has been charged with felony robbery and has been booked into jail, where he waited for his first hearing.
We’re thinking that soda probably wasn’t worth spending some time in jail with a felony on his record… or the manager getting hit with a car!
