In a survey conducted last year amongst a group of bail agents, ExpertBail discovered that 86% of bail agents have an interaction with a crime victim at least once a week. “When you begin to see the sheer numbers of interactions and the timeliness of those interactions that bail agents have with victims, it becomes pretty hard to ignore those opportunities,” says Kersnick. “We need to move past the stigma of the words “bail bondsmen” and the negative stereotypes it brings, and focus more on the reality of that profession and industry and the key role they can potentially play in guiding victims to the proper advocacy channels.”
