When it comes to giving your loved one a gift, nothing beats jewelry. The look in someone’s eyes when they see the sparkling gems for the first time can not only be unforgettable, but have the ability to warm the even coldest and emotionless hearts out there. But, then there is reality and in today’s economy, placing lavish gifts on your loved one is not as easy as it used to be. People have had to get pretty creative about the gifts they give and even sometimes how they get them.
Just ask a young Minnesota man whose girlfriend was giving him grief for not having a job or any money. So what did he do? He went and stole some jewelry and sold it for cash. Now, we know that this doesn’t really have anything to do with gift giving or our opening paragraph, but it seemed like an easy way to ease into this story. Anyway, the kicker of the whole jewelry heist, was that the person that the young man stole the jewelry from was his girlfriend’s mother. That probably explains why he sold the jewelry and didn’t give it to her.
The young man did try and apologize to his girlfriend’s mother and wrote her a nice heartfelt text…oh the young and their concept of personal communications. While the mother has yet to accept the apology, the man should be more worried with the felony charges he is facing. We aren’t sure whether a bail bond has been set for the man, but we do know he is looking at potentially 5 years in jail. Read the original story below.
