Choosing a good dentist can be a difficult decision.  You should always do as much research as you possibly can and look at everything from the dentist’s education, to Better Business Bureau rankings to consumer reviews on various sites like Angie’s List or Yelp.  The last thing that should be the main criteria for your decision should be price.  Because most of the time, especially with any type of medical or dental process, the cheapest option is rarely the best or even safest.  Just ask a Plano, Texas woman who is definitely not smiling about her choice in dentists.

The woman paid $75 to have a filling done.  Unfortunately for her, the dentist was not really a dentist, but rather someone who just really liked pretending to be one.  Maybe the woman should have questioned the man’s legitimacy when she went to his home office for her procedure?  We don’t know about you, but we have never had any dental surgery performed in a home office.  Maybe the woman should have started second guessing her decision when she complained of pain after receiving a shot of what she can only hope was Novocain in her gum, and the so called dentist, told her to stop complaining.  Apparently the woman wasn’t as sharp as the dental tools being used on her and decided to ignore these signs and go on the cheap.   Unfortunately, she is really paying the price now.  Since having her filling done by the wannabe dentist, she has been unable to open her mouth, is in constant pain, and can’t get rid of the clicking sound in her ears (we aren’t really sure what the heck that could be).

Anyway, the illegal dentist apprentice is now sitting in the Collin County Jail with a $60,000 bail bond.  Read the original story below.
