The growth and popularity of the cosmetic surgery industry has been tremendous over the past several years.  Even during a tough economy, many consumers still seem to have enough money for the essentials…bread, milk and visit to the plastic surgeon. And don’t worry about the cost, because in today’s world of instant gratification and couponing, you can get a really good GroupOn deal for everything from boobs to Botox.  Regardless of how you feel about online coupon sites and cosmetic surgery, it is hard to get past the general concept of a Botox injection.  Just the idea of putting something into your body (purposefully) that is designed to paralyze your nerve endings so you can’t wrinkle your forehead is absolutely insane.

Apparently not all people are too concerned about this.  Just ask a Highland Beach, Florida woman who was offering women deals on skin tightening through a GroupOn promotion.  The interesting thing about this woman wasn’t the fact that she was selling botulism shots (yep that is what botox injections are….botulism shots) on GroupOn, but rather that she was portraying herself as a doctor with over 30 years of experience.  She is currently being held in the Palm Beach County Jail on a $10,000 bail bond.  Read the original story below.
