Jealous much? Jonathan Edward Medley, 39, was recently arrested and charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty. Why? For having “inappropriate relations” with his wife’s dog. Ewwww…
Medley’s wife reported the offence to the police department after realizing her beloved Shih Tzu had suffered injuries and her husband told her what he did. She immediately took the dog to a local veterinarian for treatment, but because of the injuries suffered, the dog might need to be euthanized.
When asked why Medley would resort to such an inhumane act, he responded that he was mad at his wife for paying more attention to the dog than to him. Gee… that sounds like a good reason to hurt a poor, innocent doggy.
Medley’s wife initially knew something was going on, but couldn’t quite put her finger on it. She actually thought he was having an affair with another woman, to begin with. After placing a recording device by her husband, however, she soon learned that he was, in fact, molesting the dog, not another woman.
Medley was arrested and booked on a $535 cash bail. Unfortunately, he could only be charged with a misdemeanor for his crime, as there is no longer a bestiality law in the state of Alabama, where the offense occurred.
