There is nothing like having a good friend that you can turn to in a time of need, especially when you are being hauled off to jail.  Many times when people are incarcerated they have children and pets that need to be looked after while they are away.  Very often these responsibilities will be handled by a family member or a good friend.  But what happens when you find out that your good friend didn’t take that responsibility so seriously.

In Port Richey, Florida, the ultimate betrayal of trust and friendship took place when a woman asked a friend to look after her Blue Fronted Amazon Parrot named Buddy while she was being hauled off to the Pasco County Jail.  When the woman returned from jail her bird was gone.  The story she received was that the bird flew out the window.  The real story was that the friend sold the bird to a local pet shop for $225. 

The good news is that Buddy was returned and is now safe at home.  Even better news….the friend that was entrusted with watching Buddy is now sitting in the same jail her friend had been at with a $12,000 bail bond having been set…the only difference is that unlike the original woman, the friend will probably have a hard time finding someone to look after her things while she is locked up.  Read the original article below.
