man smuggles birdsYou don’t hear a story like this everyday! Apparently, officers working at the Miami International Airport had the pleasure of arresting a man who was attempting to smuggle nine live birds into the States... IN HIS PANTS!

The man was arriving on a flight from Havana, Cuba, and officers quickly found six birds in a fanny pack on the man, with three others being concealed in his groin area. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s agency, Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service were all on-hand for the investigation. Talk about making a stir when you arrive in the States!

The man was arrested and the birds were safely turned over to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Miami Quarantine Station.
