Every parent thinks their child is a superstar and wants them to have nothing but success in life. However that dream can quickly come to an end when you receive that call at 2:00 AM from your local law enforcement informing you that your child has been arrested and if you would like the name of a bail bondsman to bail them out of jail.
Today’s bail bond blog post is about a mother who received one of these dreaded calls and turned to Facebook to set the record straight.
This past weekend in Hesperia, California a mother turned to Facebook to right a wrong her son had committed earlier in the week. The son had been arrested for breaking into cars in the neighborhood and stealing things. The mother, both embarrassed and saddened by the event, turned to Facebook to apologize to her community and in the process, shame her son…just a bit.
The mother posted the following:
“I would like to apologize to the victims in Apple Valley who’s cars were broken in a few days ago…My son, his friend were hanging out with this older man who served 15 years in prison…I had no idea I received a phone call that no parent wants to receive and was told they were arrested for stolen goods.. I had always been a parent who taught my kids right from wrong and I am very much in shock and at the same time I feel so bad for the victims whose cars were broken into who work hard for the things you have. Once again I am sorry for my son’s stupid choice that he made…please not rude comments I am here hoping that the victims read this.”
What do you think? Did the mother do the right thing or did she go too far in shaming her son? Read the original article below and watch the news report.
