Now I like to think that I have an open mind about things, especially when it comes to fashion (my wife would probably disagree with me on this).  But when I read a story like this next one, all bets are off and I need to rethink my position on some stuff.  Most people would consider me a conservative person especially when it comes to the clothes I wear…Dockers and a button shirt for the office, and shorts or jeans and a t-shirt for home on the weekends.  Which I can only imagine is probably not too unusual for most guys.

Now if you were to ask me the question, what would I wear to court?  I would probably wear slacks, a button-up shirt, maybe a tie and definitely a sports coat.  The last thing I would wear…a pair of pants 5 sizes too big for my waist that are falling down to my upper thigh with my underwear hanging out for all to see.  Call me crazy.  Well apparently I am not alone in my thoughts.  An Alabama Judge was so disappointed in one defendants standard of dress (yes, his pants were hanging low and his underwear was very visible for all to see) that he gave him a 3 day jail sentence and did not set a bail bond amount.  Now I am not sure what actual “law” he was in violation of but the judge obviously felt he was committing a real fashion crime.  What do you think?  Are you someone who thinks people should dress more professionally when going to court, or are you more of a let people wear what they want kind of person?
