This next bail bond blog post involves an alcohol related offense, and it is not one that you have probably heard of before. Last Saturday night…or shall we say Sunday morning since it was 1:30 AM… in Pennsylvania, a young man was seen jogging in the dark along a busy highway. Officers witnessed traffic having to make defensive moves to avoid hitting the speedy pedestrian. They pulled the man over…or in this case, I guess they just asked him to stop running…and noticed he smelled like booze and was unsteady. We aren’t sure if he was just tired and wobbly after running several miles or if he was trying to run-off a night of partying, but the officers decided to give him a breathalyzer test which he failed with a .19 (more than double the legal limit). To be honest, we weren’t aware of a running under the influence law existing, but apparently it falls under the drunk in public category which the young was charged. At the end of the day, no one is sure what the young man’s intentions were, but you have to give him some credit, while some might just sit down on the couch and eat a bag of chips, this young man decided to go for a jog…smart…stupid…or just healthy? Probably a little bit of all three. Read the original story below.
