What would you do with 92 quadrillion dollars? Yep, that’s right, we said quadrillion. The kicker is you would only have 30 seconds to spend it. Okay, well maybe not spend it, but at least bask in the glory of being the world’s only quadrillionaire. Well in Pennsylvania earlier this week a man woke up to find that he was the richest man in the world. His PayPal account contained over $92 quadrillion. After completing a round-off backflip (we aren’t actually sure he did one, we just know that we would), the man logged out of his account and then back in to confirm that the money was actually there. Unfortunately the money wasn’t and his balance was back to $0, where it was the night before. Talk about a roller coaster ride. Imagine going from a poor schlub with a $0 balance to the richest man in the world with over $92 quadrillion than back to a poor schlub…all before breakfast.
According to reports, PayPal admitted to the error and apologized to the man. They did extend an offer to make a donation in the man’s name to the charity/cause of his choice. And just for the record the charity couldn’t be himself. Read the original article below.
