When you order food in a drive-thru, it’s expected that you’ll actually make it to the window to pick up your food!

That’s not what happened to this couple, who decided a late night McDonald’s run was in order. Kevin Yonson, 28, was behind the wheel after ordering food, but never showed up to the window to get their meal!

When an employee went outside to figure out what was going on, they found the couple fast asleep in the car, sitting at the ordering speaker. So the employee called the cops.

When the police showed up, they found the “female asleep, mouth open, with drool coming down her face” and they tried to wake her. But she was fast asleep. They finally succeeded in stirring her awake, where she then shook Yonson awake, as well.

Both smelled of booze and were escorted to the back of the car. Yonson was asked to go through a field sobriety test, which he initially agreed to and then decided not to. At that time, he got combative and was screaming, while resisting being handcuffed. Yonson was then escorted to the squad car.

After all of that work, Yonson wasn’t who he claimed to be, giving his last name as Johnson. He didn’t have a driver’s license and the police soon discovered he was actually a registered sex offender in West Virginia and had three drunk-driving convictions in South Carolina.

His lady friend was taken back to her hotel, but Yonson was booked into the county jail. He was booked on $25,000 bond and remained there, as of the latest check. He has been charged with felony driving under the influence (fourth or subsequent offense), failing to register as a sex offender, resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license, battery on a law officer and giving false information to a police officer.

Looks like his vacation in Florida is changing into a ‘stay-cation.’
