Japanese police had been trying to catch a thief who disguised himself as a ninja for the past decade. When they finally caught their suspect, they were stunned at what they found.
Once they uncovered their masked man, they realized it was a 74-year-old man under the ninja outfit. They were quite surprised!
The man usually kept his face covered, but it was recently caught on a security camera which eventually led to his arrest.
He was quite a successful ninja thief, as he has been charged with thefts valued at $260,000!
The cops had been baffled by this mystery man, who has committed a series of burglaries over the last ten years. He wore black, along with the ninja outfit, and police falsely assumed they had been committed by someone much younger.
He generally would go into an abandoned building and change into his black ninja clothes, then wait it out until it got dark so he could go commit his crimes.
He also displayed great physical ability, by running effortlessly on top of walls, rather than take the streets after he committed his crime. He really was a Ninja Grandpa!
When he was finally arrested, the man said, “If I were younger, I wouldn’t have been caught. I’ll quit now as I’m 74 and old enough.” Wise words, but he doesn’t have much of a choice!
