Everyone likes to show off now and again…and the number one way to do that nowadays is the infamous selfie.  People have become so enamored with the selfie that many times they turn their brains off in the process.  While that is not such a good thing in the regular world, in the world of criminal justice and bad guys, it can actually be the one thing that brings the bad guys to justice.  We like to refer to this phenomenon in our bail bond blog as stories of selfie incrimination.

This past week in Boston, MA, a young man was enjoying a fun day at the gun range.  He was having so much fun that he decided to take a picture to memorialize the excitement.  In fact, this selfie was going to be awesome and he wasn’t just going to hold up one gun, but instead he was going to go full commando and hold up two guns.  Well the selfie came out great.  He really looks like he is having a blast.  The problem of course is that one of the young man’s twitter followers was his…yes, we are going to say it…probation officer.  And yes, one of the conditions of his probation was NO GUNS.  Put the two together and you have a probation violation and 18 months back behind bars.  So next time you take that selfie, think long and hard on who might see it, because you never know when it might come back to bite you in the ___!!!!  Read the original story below.
