If you haven’t heard about the ALS ice bucket challenge, than you must have been living in a cave for the past month.  So for those cave dwellers, the ALS ice bucket challenge is a viral campaign created to both raise awareness and money for ALS (also referred as Lou Gehrig’s disease).  The campaign works as follows:  First, someone nominates you to take the challenge within 24 hours or make a donation to ALS research (most people choose to do both).  The challenge is that you have to pour a bucket of ice water over your head.  You are supposed to document your completion of the challenge with a video which you post on Facebook and other social media and then challenge 3 other individuals to do the same.  So far the viral campaign has raised almost $90 Million. That being said, you are probably wondering why we are talking about the ice bucket challenge in today’s bail bond blog.  If you are a regular reader of the ExpertBail blog then you know that it was only going to be a matter of time before someone taking the challenge did something stupid and got themselves arrested.  Well, we are happy to report that it finally happened.  A man in Omaha, Nebraska was trying to do his share to bring awareness to ALS and raise money…so he decided to take the challenge and post the video on social media.  Unfortunately for the man, he was wanted on a warrant.  When the police heard of the video online, they were able to identify the house that the video was shot at and locate the man.  The police found the man and had him in custody hours later.  Read the original story below.
