Parker Brothers might want to start thinking about re-labeling the “Go to Jail” space its  Monopoly game board to something more appropriate like “Go to Jail…and Get Strip Searched.”

You are probably saying to yourself, oh stop it.  But seriously, you better listen to what you mother always said and make sure you are wearing clean underwear. You never know when you might run a red light or roll through a stop sign and then find yourself in jail needing a bail bond and a cigarette after a long hard strip search. 

According to the Supreme Court’s ruling yesterday in Florence vs. Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Burlington, strip searches are legal even when the individual has been arrested for a minor traffic offense or for failing to paying a fine.  The Court’s explanation for the ruling was that “there is substantial interest in preventing any new inmate…from putting all who live or work at these institutions at even greater risk.  So put away your dollar bills and get ready to feel the love, because this is definitely not the type of strip show you were hoping for.  Read the original story below.
