Sometimes we wonder if we will ever run out of these ridiculous selfie incrimination stories for our bail bond blog.  Based on today’s new story, probably not.  Yes, we have another social media misfit who posted a selfie of them doing something they shouldn’t have and you guessed it, they got themselves arrested and put in jail.

Today’s selfie crime comes from Chicago, Illinois, where last month a 27 year old woman, who from the look of it was with child, took an unfortunate selfie (and yes, we know it is always risky to assume that someone is prego for fear of being wrong and insulting them, but we are pretty confident that we go this one right).  Anyway, the cute pic of the two women isn’t just another BFF selfie, but rather a giant clue to a recent shoplifting crime.  Yes, only a couple hours earlier, a security camera at a local clothing boutique recorded a woman stealing some items including a brightly colored leopard print dress.  It didn’t take long for the young woman to show off her new digs with a selfie and a post on social media.  The store owners also turned to social media and asked if people see a leopard print dress to let them know.  Only moments later they received a message with the photo of the young woman and her friend.  The authorities were shown the evidence and the woman was arrested for the crime of shoplifting.  They also found an outstanding warrant out on the woman for a previous drug charge.  Uh oh, not too smart…and let’s be honest, colored leopard print?  Really?  Read the original story below.
