Getting arrested is never fun (of course, we wouldn’t know for sure…but we will just assume for this bail bond blog post), especially when you are a former Los Angeles Lakers star basketball player with an NBA Championship to your name. Mix in to that pot of stew, being married to a Kardashian, and you have a spicy combination of trouble that won’t just leave a bad taste in your mouth, but could leave you scarred for life. If you haven’t guessed who we are talking about by now (and just for the record, we did say his name in the title), we are talking about Lamar Odom.
Earlier this week, the star made headlines when he was pulled over and arrested for a DUI. Later in the week, the star made bigger headlines, when it was reported that instead of calling his wife to arrange his $15,000 bail bond, he called his drug dealer. Now, for some people, this strategy might work and you might be able to keep knowledge of the incident away from your wife, but when you are a 6 foot 9 inch basketball player that is married to a Kardashian, the chances of you keeping something like that a secret is pretty low. Unfortunately for Lamar, Khloe did find out about the DUI arrest, and even worst for Lamar, she also found out about the drug dealer bailing him out. The worst part is that she didn’t find out from Lamar directly, but rather she read about it in the newspaper.
We can only imagine what that scene must have looked like…oh wait, we already kind of know…we have been watching similar scenes with the Kardashians unfold on their reality television show for years. Anyway, the silver lining in all this is that Khloe is standing by her man and Lamar is committed to getting help (especially if he wants high powered attorney Robert Shapiro to defend him). Lamar has checked into a rehab program. We wish him the best of luck in his recovery. Read the original story below.
