Social Media, it is either the greatest invention in the world or the worst. That is the topic of today’s bail bond blog post. Sometimes it baffles us when we see some person post something utterly ridiculous on social media. This includes things like extremely personal stuff, inappropriate stuff and the best of all illegal stuff. While it is annoying and confusing why they do it, there is a part of us that is actually happy they do, because for the most part, they end up incriminating themselves and getting caught.
The most recent example of this is a young man in Florida who decided to video tape himself driving through traffic at high speeds and then ramming his car into other vehicles. When all was said and done, this idiot had caused two separate crashes that destroyed 4 vehicles and put three people in the hospital. The final crash ended up injuring the young man to the point of him having to be airlifted to the hospital (thank you taxpayers). Not wanting this great footage to go unused, the young man posted the video to YouTube, while he was lying in his hospital bed. He titled the video, “Me driving like an idiot” and basically implicated himself. It is at this point that you fully appreciate social media. Because it just might be the best tool we have to capture those less than stellar braniacs that seem to have no problem breaking the law and then bragging about it.
