If there is one unintended consequence of social media, it is the widespread use of it as a tool to bully other people…especially young people.  That is the topic of today’s bail bond blog post.

Bullying was one of the hottest topics in the media in 2013, and it looks like it will continue in the coming year.  In fact, this morning a story was posted online about a mother who caught her daughter using social media to bully other kids.  The mother’s solution was to post a picture of her daughter holding a sign identifying herself as a bully and apologizing for it.  The sign also says that she will be selling her iPod and donating the money to an anti-bullying charity.

What do you think?  Is this the right punishment?  Did the mom go too far to open the door for some to say that she is being the bully?
