This isn’t the first time we have seen this type of news story and we are pretty positive that it will not be the last time we do. We are talking about a judge thinking outside the box and handing down a punishment that isn’t your usual punishment. And as we mentioned earlier, this isn’t the first time that we have covered a story like this in our bail bond blog.
Last week in South Euclid, Ohio a man was handed down a sentence right that some might find unusual but based on the facts of the case, most would agree is absolutely appropriate. This man was in a dispute with his neighbor that involved some pretty childish and despicable acts. The most despicable of these acts was to bully and make fun of the two disabled kids that lived in the house. The punishment that man received from the court was 15 days in jail, 100 hours of community service and the last bit…he was ordered to sit on the corner of a busy intersection and hold a sign that read…
“ I am a bully. I pick on children that are disabled and I am intolerant of those that are different from myself. My actions do not reflect an appreciation for the diverse South Euclid community that I live.”
