How many selfie’s have you taken?  C’mon, tell the truth.  If you are like most people, than you probably have stood in front of the mirror once or twice and snapped a few photos of yourself.  What if, however, that photo became evidence for the police to find you (assuming they were actually looking for you in the first place…just play along with us for a second)…what would you do?  That is the topic of today’s bail bond blog post.

This past week in upper New Jersey police broke up a big time burglary ring by using a simple selfie photo found on a cell phone.  The phone was found at a crime scene (important note here…if anyone reading this blog ever decides to break into someone’s home to commit burglary, it probably isn’t a good idea to leave your cell phone at the scene or even worse take a selfie on the homeowner’s phone…just thought we would throw out some free advice) and contained a picture of the gang’s getaway driver and lookout man.  That is all the police needed to eventually track and then catch one of the most sought after burglars in the northeast.

So the next time you are thinking about taking that “I’m too cool for school” selfie, think twice and just try and imagine the things that picture might be used for in the future…especially if you are a burglar.  Read the original story below.
