We will start off this blog post with some very important things you should never do.

• First, don’t post pictures of anbother person’s girlfriend on Facebook
• Second, if someone is foolish enough to do the first one, never, ever get retribution on them by calling in a fake bomb threat
• Third, if someone is dumb enough to do the second one, they should make sure that the bomb threat they call in is not on an airplane
• Last, if you have been foolish enough to do any or all of the above…too late…we warned you….you’re busted!!!

If two men had simply followed these rules above, we would not be writing this blog, but would instead be searching for another stupid jail story.  But lucky for us they did and we get to tell you what happened.

Last year a man noticed that another man had posted pictures of his girlfriend on Facebook.  He was so angry that instead of just confronting the girlfriend and saying “what’s up?” he decided to get back at the man and tell authorities that he had a bomb on his flight from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Dallas, Texas.  The plane was diverted and forced to land.  The scene not only caused a lot of commotion and took up a bunch of taxpayer resources it freaked a bunch of passengers out.

The 26 year old man who made the call was arrested and yesterday was sentenced to 15 months in jail.  We aren’t sure whether a bail bond was issued before he was sentenced.  The judge felt the man needed to truly feel regret for what he did to the innocent passengers and ordered that the man write 38 apology letters.  He also told the man to spend less time on social media (Facebook, Google+, Twitter and LinkedIn) and more time looking in the mirror.  Read the original story below.
