When we were all young, we were taught persistence by our parents.  You know, the statement, “at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”  This type of lesson was designed to teach us to overcome failure and realize that with hard work, we can all eventually be successful.  At the same time, there is a lesson here about having a strong worth ethic.  Applying yourself to something and then pushing yourself to achieve success regardless of the obstacle put in front of you is the type of work ethic that made this country great. 

Unfortunately, the lesson can work the other way.  Just as you can try your hardest to be good at something, you can also try your hardest to be bad at something.  Just ask the Broward County, Florida man that was arrested three times in seven days. 

The first arrest was on July 9th, the second on July 13th and the third and final arrest was on July 15th.  The first two arrests were misdemeanors, while the third was a felony (burglary). To say that this man wasn’t being persistent to a fault, would be an understatement.

Ultimately a person success hinges on perspective and which way you decide to perceive a situation.  While some people might say that this man was a failure at committing crimes, another person might say he was a success at getting himself put in jail.  Read the original story below.
