This mom meant business when it came to seat belt safety! She called the police to scare her three-year-old straight!

Michelle Fortin said her daughter continuously unbuckled her seat during a recent ride home and she had just about had enough! She kept pulling over to explain to the girl why she needed to keep it on, but that three-year-old just didn’t care. So mom decided to take a new approach. She called the police! Talk about calling in the reinforcements.

The cops came and were more than happy to back her up. “I guess it was an extreme choice on my part, but I knew she was gonna remember it and I knew by hearing from a police officer, who is a person of authority that my kids respect, I knew that was gonna drive the point home better than just hearing it from mom,” Fortin said.

And it worked like a charm! The little girl promised to always keep her seat belt on, from this point forward.

Hey… a mom has got to do what a mom has got to do!
