The Nation's Most Trusted Bail Bond Agents

It's Time to Judge the Judge

JudgeBeing a judge is probably a pretty difficult thing to be.  I don't envy the person that has to sit up in front of the room and make tough decisions on the fate of people's lives each and every day.  Deciding who gets a bail bond and who doesn't...who gets jail and who doesn't...has got to be tough.  At least, that is what I thought until today.

In Willis, Texas, a judge decided to throw a 17 year old student into jail for missing too much school.  Sounds pretty reasonable so far, right?  Well, what we haven’t told you yet is that the student is working two jobs to support her family because her parent split up and left her and her bother to fend for themselves.  Even in the face of two jobs and a broken family this young girl has managed to maintain her grades and is an honors student at her high school.  I don't know about you, but the punishment doesn’t seem to fit the crime here.  Maybe the judge should just congratulate the girl for stepping up as opposed to punishing her for doing what most people wouldn’t and couldn’t do.  I can’t think of a better way to de-motivate a very motivated and hard working young person.  What do you think?  Read the original story below.
