Going for a bike ride in the bay area this time of year can be one of the most exhilarating and breathtaking of activities.  But if you are a wanted fugitive who has recently escaped from the Santa Rita Jail in Alameda County, California, going for a ride on a stolen bicycle might not be the best idea in the world.  Jose Luis Franco now knows that.  According to authorities, Mr. Franco is now back behind bars after escaping from the Alameda County Lock-up yesterday for approximately seven hours before he was spotted cruising on a bike north of interstate 580.

Alameda County residents can now relax a bit that Mr. Franco is back in custody.  He is currently being held without bail on suspicion of escape and vehicle theft.
