The internet has changed the way we buy and sell things forever. Whether it is your wife’s Valentines gift (consider this your last reminder fellas) or you kids holiday gifts, more and more people are avoiding the malls and going online. But the internet and the wheels of commerce can’t handle every online transaction that consumers are looking to complete…especially the illegal ones. Just as a Eureka, California man who went on Craigslist to sell his “Awesome speedboat.” And for payment options, the man accepted, Cash, Money Orders, Visa, Amex, PayPal and last but not least, Marijuana. Yes, we said he was willing to take Marijuana for his awesome speedboat. Now we aren’t sure, but we think that is illegal in pretty much 50 out of 50 states (except maybe Colorado and Washington). Either way, the cops caught on to the bud bartering deal and set up a sting operation.
Needless to say, the boat still remains for sale, the owner is in jail looking for a bail bondsman and the marijuana is in the custody of Butte County. Read the original article below.
