The Smoking Gun has released the top mug shots of 2011. Included are the rebellious Amish, the transgender buttocks implanter and, of course, John Edwards. See below for the top ten that made the list. We can hardly wait for 2012…

The perp with the wildly prodigious posterior is Oneal Ron Morris, a 30-year-old transgender Florida woman arrested in mid-November for administering illegal buttocks injections. Police allege that Morris used a mixture of cement, super glue, mineral oil, and “Fix-a-Flat” sealant to artificially enhance her customers. A clientele, it seems, that includes Morris herself. After failing to pay fines levied when they refused to affix orange safety triangles to their horse-drawn buggies, these eight Amish men were ordered jailed by a Kentucky judge. The members of the Swartzentruber sect were charged with misdemeanor contempt of court.

Mark Williams, 31, was arrested in May after Michigan police found him hanging off the ledge of a building. Williams, as you can see, was dressed as Batman. He was found carrying a collapsible baton and a can of pepper spray in his “utility belt.” In an online profile, the wannabe superhero describes himself as a “geek” who is “into comics and action figures” and loves “The Dark Knight.” This 26-year-old Michigan man/Shrek lookalike appears to have tucked his ears into oversized earlobe piercings. He was arrested in September by Michigan cops for marijuana possession and furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Kevin Daly, 22, was arrested in November for drunk driving after he crashed his vehicle into a cop car at around 1:45 AM. The Long Island resident’s t-shirt probably doesn’t seem so funny now. Michelle Watson, 24, was arrested in November after she allegedly went on an intoxicated spree in Prescott, Arizona. Despite being forced to the ground after she kneed one cop in the groin, Watson was remarkably upbeat when she later posed for her booking photo.

The year’s scariest mug shot was snapped in September when Caius Veiovis was charged with murder and kidnapping. The 31-year-old Massachusetts man, a Hells Angels affiliate, complemented that “666” tattoo with an assortment of foosball-sized forehead implants. Tattoo enthusiast Patrick Brooks needs his forehead washed out. The California man, 21, was arrested in July for burglary, forgery, and receiving stolen property.

Joshua James Stueckle, 28, was working at a haunted house in Idaho when cops cuffed him in October for allegedly engaging in illegal sexual contact with two teenage girls (one of whom he met on a Wiccan web site) John Edwards, former U.S. Senator and Democratic vice presidential candidate, posed for these United States Marshals Service photos in June. Edwards, 58, was charged with six felony counts for his role in an alleged campaign finance scheme to cover up an extramarital affair.
