It there was a school that taught people how to be a thief, one of the first things that they would probably teach you would be to never leave a fingerprint at the crime scene.  This simple lesson is the topic of today’s bail bond blog post.

This past week in Glendale, Arizona, a man was attempting to steal some copper wire from the truck of an air conditioning technician.  When the owner of the truck woke the next morning, he saw that the wire had been removed from his truck and was lying on the ground about 20 feet away.  But the story gets even weirder.  Tangled up in the copper wire, the man found a finger.  So much for not leaving fingerprints at the scene…this guy left the whole finger.  Not the most difficult crime in the world to solve, the police used the fingerprint on the finger to identify the man and then confirm his involvement when they noticed he didn’t have a finger.  You could say that this man fingered himself for the crime…literally.  See the picture of the finger below and read the original article.
