The ExpertBail Team just got back from the 2011 National Sheriffs’ Association Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. The conference was well attended and ExpertBail got an opportunity to mix and mingle with approximately 300 sheriffs and 500 exhibitors from around the country. The conference officially kicked off with the Opening General Session where NSA President, Sheriff B.J. Roberts, presented the Sheriff of the Year Award to Paul Babeu and the Deputy of the Year Award to an inspirational Brandon Moore. Bob Delaney, an enthusiastic NBA referee and former state trooper, was the keynote speaker. Delaney shared his story about his undercover role in the mob and the effects it had on his life once the assignment was over.

The Exhibit Hall opened for the first of two days with an anxious crowd. There was a diverse selection of booths to visit, including: Verizon, the FBI, General Motors, Aetna, and of course, ExpertBail. As the first and only national brand in the bail bond industry and Platinum Corporate Partner of NSA, ExpertBail was excited to have the opportunity to introduce everyone to our unique network of trusted bail agents.

Many people came to our booth with the question, “What is ExpertBail?” We were happy to explain that ExpertBail is a nationwide bail bond brand made exclusively of the most trusted and professional bail agents in the business. ExpertBail’s goal at this year’s NSA Conference was to introduce the brand, educate attendees on the important role that bail bond agents play in the criminal justice system, and learn about the general perception that sheriffs have of the bail bond industry. As part of the education process, ExpertBail spent a lot of time talking with sheriffs about the role that bail agents play in ensuring that victims of crime get a chance at justice.

We also made it a point to challenge the bail agent stereotype of people who dress and act like “Dog the Bounty Hunter”. Unfortunately, many people, including sheriffs, can fall into the trap of believing what they see on television. The reality is that most bail agents are nothing like that. Most have incredible life and business stories that are not only interesting, but more importantly, beneficial to the communities that they live in and work in. In fact, many volunteer their time and money to help their communities and those that are in need of mentoring during a difficult time. We hope by sharing these unique and compelling ExpertBail Agent stories, people will start to see the real face of the bail bond industry and the important role we play in the criminal Justice system.

ExpertBail Sheriff LadiesAs we mentioned before, many of our discussions with sheriffs centered around our involvement in supporting victims’ rights. Recently, we ran a Victims’ Rights campaign to raise $25,000 to support victims of crime. Over 1,600 people visited our website and over 6,000 people became Facebook fans to help spread the word.. We invite you to visit us at www.ExpertBail.com/justice to learn more.

Along with ExpertBail information and promotional items (including the famous “I LOVE MY SHERIFF” buttons) be distributed at our booth, we also conducted a survey asking for opinions and thoughts on the bail bond industry. Everyone who participated in the survey was entered in a drawing to win 1 of 2 $100 Gift Cards to Bass Pro Shops along ExpertBail Sheriff Ladieswith an autographed copy of the best seller Remote Hunting Destinations: Inside Outdoor TV by Chris Dorsey. We are happy to announce our winners: Chuck Jenkins of Maryland and Charles Goodwin of South Carolina. ExpertBail was well received by those who visited our booth and we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who stopped by.

ExpertBail is extremely grateful to the NSA for welcoming us into their family of partners. Not only did we enjoy meeting and talking with everyone who stopped by our booth, but we also enjoyed sitting in on many of the seminars and workshops that were offered.. The NSA Conference was definitely an important and valuable event and we look forward to seeing everyone next year in Nashville!!
